Does this tool tell me what dose to use?
No. You enter your own target dose — from your own research, a protocol, or a licensed prescriber — and the tool only converts that number into a draw volume and syringe reading. It never suggests a dose for any substance.
Why does the syringe scale (U-100/U-50/U-40) matter?
Insulin syringes are marked in "units," and the number of units per millilitre differs by syringe type — a U-100 syringe has 100 units per mL, a U-50 has 50, and a U-40 has 40. Using the wrong scale on a real syringe would give a very different actual volume, so it's worth double-checking which syringe you actually have.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
